Petainer Innopac Packaging has opened a new plant in the Indian state of Maharashtra which will produce plastic packaging solutions.
The new plant employs Petainer's advanced polymer engineering technology to provide high performance and sustainable PET/plastics packaging solutions.
Additionally, the plant is equipped with blow moulding equipment to manufacture the 20l bulk water cooler jar, petainerCooler, using preforms produced from Petainer's European manufacturing sites.
The facility also houses a fully equipped on-site design studio, laboratory services and warehousing.
Petainer Innopac Packaging managing director Atit Bhatia said: "This is an exciting day and we are delighted that we have delivered on our timely promise to the market by bringing a world-class facility and a world-class product to the Indian market.
"The plant and its strategic location supports our ambitious growth plans for the region which is based on providing customers with an exciting portfolio of innovative and gamechanging solutions."
The company recently launched petainerKeg, a one-way 20 or 30l keg that is made out of highly engineered advanced polymers for beer, wine and other beverage segments.
It plans to launch more equipment and products in the coming months.

Petainer Innopac Packaging has been formed as a joint venture between Petainer UK Holdings and Innopac Containers earlier this year.
Headquartered in New Delhi, Petainer Innopac will further increase Petainer's global footprint.
