The United States International Trade Commission published the vote result of the final decision of the damage of the countervailing and anti-dumping investigation on the tyres of the passenger car and light truck originating in China on July 14, 2015. 6 committee members ruled that Chinese export products caused the substantial damage to the industries within the United States in a 3-3 vote. The United States International Trade Commission will publish the decision report on July 27 and the Department of Commerce of the United States will issue the anti-dumping and countervailing tax order on August 3.
The Head of the Trade Remedy and Investigation Bureau said that the Chinese government and the tyre industry have been highly concerned over this case. The United State International Trade Commission ignores the object facts and makes an affirmative damage decision to levy the anti-dumping and countervailing taxes against the Chinese exported tyre products involved in the case. In June, the Department of Commerce of the United States took many unfair and discriminative practices and worked out high dumping and subsidy scope against Chinese enterprises involved in the case. The decision of the United States will severely damage the export benefits of the Chinese enterprises involved in this case. Chinese tyre industry expresses strong dissatisfaction against the decision of the United States. The Chinese government has flagged serious concerns to the United States for many times, clarified its stand and will defend its own rights and interests according to the WTO rules.
China urges the United States to abide by the international trade rule once again, carefully use the trade remedy measures, take responsible attitude and actions, correct the wrong practices and maintain the multilateral trade system and the overall situation of the trade and economic relationship between China and the United States.
